- Scope and ContentPaul Goodchild talks extensively about the influence of her father, Clifford Goodchild (1926-2008), who introduced him to the trumpet. He talks about his professional career with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra from the age of 18, becoming the Associate Principal Trumpet in 1985, to his retirement in August 2020. Goodchild discusses his involvement in Sydney's brass band movement, as a director of various bands, teacher, and advocate of Australian music. He talks about his and his father's involvement in the Waverly and Bondi Brass Band. He also talks about the death of his friend and mentor, conductor Richard Gill (1941-2018).
