Paul Goodchild, son of Clifford Goodchild, was born in 1960 at Sydney. He is a trumpet player and has been a permanent member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra since the age of 18 and later became Associate Principal Trumpet. Goodchild is also Musical Director of the Waverley Bondi Beach Band and Sydney Brass.

Vincent Plush is a composer, writer, broadcaster and critical music commentator. He is a passionate advocate for Australian music.
