    Chinese documents include letters and telegrams, invoices and receipts for travel expenses, and petitions for the study and protection of cultural artefacts and, on mining.
    Letter writers include Prince Zailan (載瀾, 载澜), Xiong Xiling (Hsiung Hsi-ling, 熊希齡), Cai E (Tsai Ao, 蔡鍔,蔡锷) Zhu Qiqian (朱啟鈐), Ye Gongchuo (Yeh Kung-ch'o, 葉恭綽, 葉恭綽). Zhou Xuexi (Chou Hsueh-hsi, 周学熙), Duanfang (Tuan Fang, 端方), Prince Su (Shanqi 善耆), and Liang Shiyi (梁士詒).
    Subjects include the Boxer Rebellion, the suppression of opium, official visits, Yuan Shikai and the 'Chao Ping-chun 赵秉钧 case'.

    Item 61-67: Letter to Morrison from former leader of the Boxer Rebellion Prince Zailan (載瀾, 载澜), asking Morrison to intercede on his behalf, for clemency from the new Emperor Yuan Shikai (袁世凱, 袁世凯).
