    Part 1:
    Tim discusses his early life, memories of childhood and his family growing up in Christchurch New Zealand in the 1940s. University, editing the literary magazine 'Kiwi' with Terry Snow and his early interest in literature and jazz. Moving to Wellington and his first job as Educational Editor at a publishing house, had friends in art and theatre circles, and discusses his reasons for moving to Sydney.

    Part 2:
    Becoming Managing Director and Literary Agent of Curtis Brown at 27 years of age. Clients included Patrick White, D’Arcy Niland, Donald Horne, Frank Hardy, Eleanor Dark, Michael Boddy, Tom Keneally, Bob Ellis, Barry Oakley, Norman Lindsay. Discusses being younger than others in the business, making contacts, working with publishers, learning about Copyright Law. Meeting his wife Lea in 1972. Prolific decades of the 1970s and 1980s for publishing, negotiations, agreements regarding options for television and film projects.
