    Lyn Williams (1963- ) was born in France, her family returning to Australia in 1969. Lyn studied at the Conservatorium High School, her principal instrument being the harp, and later at the Oberlin College, Ohio, U.S.A. She took to conducting and founded the Sydney Children’s Choir in 1989. This has grown into the Gondwana Voices and, further, the Gondwana Indigenous Choir. Among her awards are the Don Banks Music Award in 2017, the Sir Bernard Heinze Memorial Award in 2021, and Member of the Order of Australia in 2019.
