  • Attributions / conjectures

This scrapbook contains pages of verse copied in iron gall ink and dated prior to the birth of Elizabeth Maria Goldfinch. It is possible she inherited the scrapbook from a family member or copied the verses from old sources. In addition, some of the photographs and drawings interspersed throughout the scrapbook are annotated in soft graphite pencil in a modern, possibly 20th century hand.
