She talks about her interest in drama at university, which leads her into a career as a national drama critic for The Australian newspaper and her marriage to drama academic Philip Parsons. Brisbane talks about the social and cultural shifts of theatre in Australia since the 1960s and the forming of the performing arts publishing house, Currency Press, with her husband. She discusses her reasons for writing her book, 'Not wrong - just different: Observations on the rise of the contemporary Australian theatre'. She also discusses her retirement and the objectives of the performing arts advocacy organisation, Currency House, which she founded in 2001.
