  Autograph letter signed, from [Joseph] Termet, Justice of the Peace, to Athanase Gros in Paris, sent from Loriol, 20 August 1842 (3 pages on a single folded sheet, seal, postmarks, with Laage archive stamp, Dossier 243-5), reporting the death of Louis de Freycinet to his collaborator on the Mariana Islands Dictionary. He describes in detail the final hours; a will has been found; his niece Blanche will inherit; as Justice of the Peace he has been obliged to put seals on all Freycinet’s possessions; Gros will need to retrieve his work-in-progress.
