  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    In 1970 the Australian National University commissioned John Andrews to design a new student residence and a residential centre for continuing education. The proposed hall of residence (later renamed Toad Hall) was constructed by Leighton Contractors Ltd, and opened in 1974. The project was managed by Peter Courtney, architect, on behalf of John Andrews who was living in Toronto, Canada.
