  • Scope and Content
    Images related to the Aboriginal community at Redfern including portraits of notable people such as Charles Perkins, Gary Foley, Mick and Tony Mundine, Ted Kennedy and Tracey Moffatt. They illustrate scenes of everyday life in Redfern in the 1980s and 1990s – children playing in the street, residents conversing, inside people’s homes, shopping – as well documenting land rights protests and political meetings in Redfern. Redfern institutions such as the Black Market, Tony Mundine’s Gym, Aboriginal and Islander Dance Theatre, gallery openings, Tony Mundine Hostel, Murawina Pre-school, and Eveleigh Street environs have all been documented.
