  • Scope and Content
In this collection are manuscript letters, 1911-1924, some written on Dr James McLeod Hurstville GP prescription pad. Mostly to Maggie and Sheila, his daughters and some to his friend, Edouard. These letters reflect on local news and events such as Maggie’s wedding, on nostalgic memories of growing up in Tain, Scotland, and on his general practice in Hurstville.

The autograph book is inscribed "To Maggie from her father, Hurstville, July 21st 1906". It consists of mostly drawings and sketches, made by friends, family, accompanied by notes, affectionate or humorous, to Maggie McLeod. Some drawings are in colour.

The scrapbook, titled 'Suitings & trouserings, latest novelties' contains letters, newspapers clippings, and pen and ink drawings pasted onto the papes. There are some printed poems from "The Bulletin". Several back pages are blank. The scrapbook appears to be a fabric swatch book that once contained samples of fabric for tailors. It had been produced by 'J.B.T & S.'

Printed document, "Dr James McLeod, extracts from his 1925 diary and some of his sketches, poems, letters and other notes", 20 pages.
