Folder 1
Land grant by Governor Hunter to Richard Oldright of 25 acres at Mulgrave near Windsor, 30 December 1796. The grant is handwritten in ink on both sides of the sheet, with original paper seal attached to the verso. It is signed by Governor Hunter, and one of the witnesses is John Piper (1773-1851).

Folder 2
Land grant by Governor Macquarie to Samuel Haynes of 50 acres at Prospect, 17 August 1819. The grant is signed by Governor Macquarie, and witnesses include Henry Antill (1779-1852) and John Campbell (1770?-1830). The original paper seal is attached by a ribbon to the lower edge. Included is a typescript note of unknown origin containing information about the grant [ca. 19--?].

Folder 3
Land grant by Governor Gipps to Ralph Robey of 1,200 acres at Lake Macquarie, 28 February 1846. The grant is signed by Governor Gipps and by Edward Deas Thomson (1800-1879), Colonial Secretary and Registrar.

Folder 4
Articles of Agreement between Ebenezer Bourne and Ralph Robey for the purchase by Robey of the Ebenezer Coal Works and land at Lake Macquarie, 23 July 1845. The document is handwritten in ink on both sides of a folded sheet, and includes Bourne’s and Robey’s signatures.
