    Includes letters of condolence to Will Lawson on Bertha Lawson's death; typescript and carbon typsecript poems and draft articles by Will Lawson; typescript bibliographies of published and unpublished works by Will Lawson; extracts of reviews and profiles of Will Lawson; with newscuttings relating to his death, 1957.

    Series 05: Miscellanea, including notes, letters, and manuscripts of poems, short stories and articles by various writers, ca. 1887-1935

    Includes letter from Eleanor Parkes, 1892; letter from Henry Lawson to his mother, Louisa Lawson, 1898; four letters from Louisa Lawson to Miss Scott, 1908; notes re Henry Lawson, 1931-1935, and manuscripts of poems, short stories and articles by various writers.

    Manuscripts include poems by Fred J. Broomfield, David McKee Wright,; unsigned draft review of "How he died and other poems" by John Farrell (Sydney, 1887); address by Steele Rudd, "How I wrote 'On our selection'"; "Dowell O'Reilly in Tasmania" [draft? of article by John Le Gay Brereton published in the Sydney Morning Herald, Saturday 18 August 1928]; "The Dead Horse" by J. H. M. Abbott; "J. Le Gay Brereton, Australian poet and Elizabethan scholar", by Bertram Stevens.

    Includes examples of Henry Lawson postage stamps and first day covers.

    Content previously dated from 1872 based on reading of date of letter from Lady [Eleanor] Parkes; however Eleanor did not marry Henry Parkes until 1889 and date of letter may be 1892. New earliest date of contents is based on draft review of "How he died and other poems" by John Farrell (Sydney, 1887). Newcuttings relating to Will Lawson's death in 1957 are included in the volume.
