  Will Lawson was a journalist, poet and author of novels and historical works about New Zealand and Australia. Will Lawson was unrelated to Henry Lawson but was a close friend of the Lawson family and an active member fo the Fellowship of Australian writers. Together with Henry Lawson's widow Bertha, he wrote My Henry Lawson (1943).
