  • Scope and Content
    Souvenir coloured silk handkerchief, showing Queen Victoria in the dress of her Golden Jubilee of 1887. She is wearing the Small Diamond Crown of 1870, the Blue Carter Riband with the Sovereigns Badge of the Order of Victoria and Albert, and the Imperial Order of the Crown of India. In each corner of the handkerchief is an image depicting the colonies of India, Canada, Australia, and Cape Colonies. Below her image is a garland of flowers and the inscription, 1837 - Victoria - 1887.

    Includes small folder of printed and manuscript material of John Fallding when he sought advice from the Powerhouse Museum concerning the handkerchief.
