Alisa Brosan, nee Weinberger, born in Senta, Yugoslavia, 1928. During war: Hungarian occupation in 1941, in 1943 father's business taken away, Germans took over in April 1944, sent to work camps at Gansendorf, Ulrichskirchen and Strasshof in Austria, when Russians arrived mother took her and siblings behind battle line in horse and cart, got a lift on truck with Russian soldier to Bratislava, then by train to Yugoslavia. After war: in Romania from June 1946 till end of 1947, left for Israel but intercepted by British and held in camp on Cyprus, arrived in Israel in December 1948. Migrated to Australia in 1959, stopping in USA for a year on route. - Copying ConditionsIn copyright:
