Marton Hamor born in Oradea, Romania, 1913. During war: in forced labour camp at Balatonaliga for three months, in 1942 called up again and sent to Kiev, Russia, to work in factory making carriages, in 1943 retreated to Stanislau as Russian front approached, released from army early 1944, after German occupation in March sent as forced labour to Moson, Szony and Sopron, handed over to German army at Burgenland in Austria and set to digging trenches as they moved East, in March 1945 marched to Mauthausen, then Gunskirchen, concentration camps, liberated by Americans in 1945. After war: returned to Budapest, left for Vienna in 1956. Emigrated to Australia in 1957. - Copying ConditionsIn copyright:
