Stefan Karp born in Lodz, Poland, 1917. During war: in Lodz Ghetto, in Auschwitz concentration camp, and forced labour camps in Braunschweig and Ludwigslust, Germany. After war: worked in Poland as engineer. Emigrated to Australia in 1948.
