Handwritten and typed notes and drafts of Gabrielle Carey’s novel "The Borrowed Girl", some written in Spanish. Typed stories in Spanish taken down from oral stories told to Gabrielle Carey by locals in village Xicochimalco, Veracruz, Mexico. These stories formed the basis for the novel The Borrowed Girl, ca 1985.
