Alexander Lowy was born in Filakovo (Czechoslovakia) in 1921. From 1942 until 1944 he was part of labour brigades sent to Rimavska Sobota (Czechoslovakia), Miskolcz (Hungary), Bystrica (Roumania) and Nadvorna (Poland). Alexander took part in forced marches to the Austrian concentration camps of Mathausen and Gunskirchen. After the war he returned to Filakovo and emigrated to Australia in 1949. - Access Conditions
