Peter Henry Engelman was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia 1924. In 1940, he and his family were forced into the Prague ghetto where they were kept until 1942. They were then transported to Theresienstadt (Terezin). Peter was sent to Auschwitz in 1944 and then to Taucha where he escaped, was captured and sent to Buchenwald. In 1945 he escaped from Buchenwald and returned to Czechoslovakia where he stayed until 1949 before emigrating to Australia. - Copying ConditionsIn copyright:
