Wilfred Arlom was a member of a chamber ensemble on the Cunard liner RMS Lusitania during two return trips from Liverpool to New York, 1907-1908, before he emigrated to Australia. - Scope and ContentArlom writes of a regular round of flute practice, concerts and solo performances conducted on board in all weather conditions. In New York he frequents the Metropolitan Opera House and other cultural institutions, and becomes a regular customer of music stores and Siegel Cooper department store on Sixth Avenue. On 9 April 1908 Arlom and his parents departed England on the White Star Line ship SS Medic bound for Australia, stopping at Cape Town and Albany (W.A.), and arriving in Adelaide on 20 May.
