    Correspondence and legal notes. Some letters are personal from friends and family members and are addressed to "Sam" whilst others pertain to general matters. Topics include: employment, travel, finances (the payment and loan of money, promissory notes, and the sale of property), gift of a puppy, gaining admittance to the Theatre Royal, application to erect circus tents in the city, discovery of gold, sickness, gaining material for productions, sale of photographs of actresses, and the "sketch" of Samuel Lazar's life. Some letters are addressed to Lazar at the Theatre Royal and some are to Mess. [James] Booty & Co. - Theatrical Agents. Includes nomination of Richard Davis Hanson and Thomas Reynold to the House of Assembly, Adelaide, Mar. 1860
