Bramble; weather and sailing conditions; places of anchor; interactions with Indigenous people; descriptions of outrigger canoes, artefacts, and customs along with native names for objects; mention of places Brierly sketches. Also contains some sketches of ships; dwellings; "Frame work of Rain Houses. Evens [i.e. Evans] Bay Cape York Nov. 9 1849"; Prince of Wales's Island Canoe [Nov. 10th]
