- Scope and ContentThe sketchbook contains drawings of sailing ships, aspects of indigenous material culture (particularly the construction of canoes and dwellings), coastal and landscape profiles. Places visited by the H.M.S. Rattlesnake - including Cape York, Evans Bay, Port Albany, Mt Ernest, Redscar Bay and Redscar Islands, Darnley Island, Erroaba, Arden Island, Cocoa Nut Island, Mt Adolphus Island, Banks's Island, and Saddle, Wednesday, and Marsden Islands are featured.
