Robert Johnston is a photographer and was secretary of the Gay Rights Lobby in Sydney from its founding in 1981 to 1984. His photographs document street activism, protests and rallies, and members of the community involved in issues surrounding LGBTQIA+ legislation and rights, anti-nuclear and anti-abortion stances.
