    Founded in 1989, Bangarra Dance Theatre is a company of professional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performers that seeks to promote awareness and understanding of First Nations cultures in Australia. As well as being one of Australia’s leading performing arts companies, Bangarra is also globally renowned for its powerful theatrical experiences bringing together choreography, sound, poetry and design.

    SandSong: Stories from the Great Sandy Desert was performed at the Sydney Opera House. Spirit: a Retrospective 2021, and The Vigil were performed at the Headland at Barangaroo Reserve as part of the Sydney Festival.
