  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Dr Beatriz Copello (1947- ) was born in Rosario, Argentina in 1947 and arrived in Australia with her young family in 1972. She is a psychologist and writer. Her literary work, written in English and Spanish, focuses on lesbian love, her cultural background and migrant experiences. She has had work published in journals and books including her first book of lesbian poetry, 'Women, Souls and Shadows,' 1992. Besides conducting creative writing courses, she regularly speaks at literary events and readings, including the QueerLit conference and the NSW Writers Centre. She earned a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Wollongong in 2003.

  • Scope and Content
    This collection is comprised of a selection of draft manuscripts, both published and unpublished, of the works of Beatriz Copello and related papers. The collection contains draft manuscripts of anthologies of poetry, short stories, a play and related material including conference papers and reviews of her work, arranged in folders:
