    2. The benefits of early treatment showed up in ensuing years and at school Estelle was noted for her ability to run. Let me quote from one of the Gulargambone School reports: Gilgandra Sports. Estelle Wakerley completely outclassed the opposition to win her 11 yr old Championship race. Estelle gained the honour to travel to Sydney to compete in the State finals where she won her heat then gained a place in the semi-finals.
