Aarne Neeme was born in Germany in 1945 to Estonian parents. He has directed more than 300 theatrical productions throughout Australia since 1962 and was Artistic Director for companies including the Hunter Valley Theatre Company, National Theatre of Perth, and director of the Australian National Playwrights’ Conference and the Nimrod Theatre Company.
