Darren Clark was commissioned by Duxton Nuts Farm, Yanco, New South Wales, to document their 2023 walnut harvest, focusing on their employment of contractors from Vanuatu. The aim was to highlight the mutually beneficial relationship between Duxton Nuts and these overseas contractors: farm owners gain dependable labour for the duration of the season, as well the return of that fully trained workforce for future harvests. In return, the seasonal workers earn wages to improve their lives and communities back home while upskilling, leading to further employment opportunities in Vanuatu.

This was a two-part project: Series 1 documents the 2023 walnut harvest in Yanco, New South Wales; Series 2 involved Darren Clark travelling to Vanuatu to document the seasonal workers at home.
