The Ukrainian Women's Association Australia (UWAA) was formed on the 13 September 1949 in a migrants' camp in Cowra, New South Wales and the Federal Executive was organised in June 1951.
The Association consists of the Federal Executive, State Executives and Branches and organises and participates in community work, promotes women’s self-growth, sponsors services and events, works with other women’s groups and retains and promotes Ukrainian culture and traditions.
