Anna Sarah Rachel Wauch was born on 3 December 1828 in the United Kingdom and came to New South Wales with her family on 15 March 1836, settling in Wauchope near Port Macquarie. On 6 February 1855, she married Spencer Collard (28 March 1826 to 29 December 1878). She sketched from at least the 1840s and, in 1881, won second prize in an art competition held by Gibbs, Shallard and Co. and the Illustrated Sydney News. Anna died on 16 June 1904 in Mosman, Sydney.

This collection was purchased at an auction held by Raffan, Kelaher & Thomas, Sydney, in about 2019.

This collection comprises watercolour drawings, poems and other material relating to bush life in Northern NSW and the mythical bunyip. Series 1 contains 21 watercolours and 3 poems relating to the bunyip and Australian bush life around the Richmond River region. Series 2 contains 12 prints from Birn Brothers of London and Germany depicting bucolic and town scenes, and a pamphlet commemorating the marriage of King George and Queen Mary at Westminster Abbey.
