- Collection historyThis visitors' book would have originally been put in place by National Parks and Wildlife Services. At some point, the service gave the visitors' book to the Confederation of Bushwalking Clubs of NSW, now Bushwalking NSW.
- Scope and ContentThis collection comprises one exercise book documenting visitors - including individual walkers, bushwalking clubs, scout groups and school Duke of Edinburgh expeditions- to Splendour Rock, Blue Mountains from 1 April 1988 to 14 December 1991. This visitors’ log book had been placed in the field at Splendour Rock and used to document walkers’ activities and routes, the weather, the views and ANZAC day services.

Splendour Rock is a lookout at the southern end of Mt Dingo in the Wild Dog Mountains of the Megalong Valley in the Blue Mountains National Park. It is the site of the Bushwalkers War Memorial, a memorial plaque to thirteen bushwalkers (8 airmen and 4 soldiers). - Subject
