    Inverell apiarist Donald Ruming worked bees with his father Ted (Edward) Ruming and they travelled around the New England District with their hive placement.

    This collection contains the winning project submitted by Donald W. Ruming of Brodies Plain to the 1950 Junior Farmers' Club of New South Wales State Championship for beekeeping, comprising two exercise books: ‘Bee Project Book’ with diary entries covering location, tree type, and hive observations, with photographs and clippings; ‘Honey and pollen flora’ with descriptions and pressed plant specimens.

    Also included are judge’s scorecard and comments, clippings, and certificates from the 1949 and 1950 championships.
