- Scope and ContentIn this interview Frances Rand speaks about 'Lesbians on the loose' (LOTL) the magazine she founded in 1989 and describes its growth from a black and white newsletter to the 52-page colour monthly magazine it was by the time Rand sold it in 1999. She discusses the role LOTL played in reducing isolation, building community, and in promoting women’s social groups, events and businesses. She talks about her 25-year relationship with journalist Barbara Farrelly, who in 1994 joined her as editor of LOTL, their commitment to publishing news featuring lesbians and their decision to marry.
