Posed portraits and candid images of Max Dupain by photographers including Sandy Edwards, Henry Talbot, Peter Adams, David Gwinnutt, Heide Smith, Robert McFarlane, Heathy Forbes, David Cox, David Wilkinson. Settings of portraits include Dupain working on location and in his studio with colleagues. Informal shots show Dupain attending outings and exhibitions, including the State Library of NSW in 1991. Dupain appears either as the sole subject or in company with other people including William Yang, Bob Carr. The collection also contains textual material such as 'with compliments' slips, a greeting card and signed photographs with messages of appreciation.
