  Photojournalist Robert McFarlane took this photograph with the intention of selling it to Walkabout magazine, however, it appears it was never published. This photograph was most likely taken as Perkins commuted to or from the University of Sydney, where he had commenced studies that year, or Tranby Aboriginal College in Glebe.
