  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Frank Higgins was a member of the New South Wales Council of A.L.P. Youth and held the position of Secretary during the 1950s.

    Established in 1949 by the Central Executive of the Australian Labor Party, the NSW Council of ALP Youth brought together members of the party under the age of 30 as a vehicle for the youth of the party to better express their ideas, with two delegates from each party branch meeting fortnightly. The Central Executive also established the Sydney University ALP Club in 1949 as an alternative to the existing Sydney University Labor Club.
