Photographer Liz Ham was a regular visitor to The Dirty Habit and formed friendships with several residents. This site has operated as space where LGBTIQ+ people have lived and gathered for 22 years. Due to the house falling into disrepair tenants were told they must vacate the property in 2021. Liz Ham's photograph Paradise Lost was a finalist in the National Photographic Portrait Prize, 2022.

A black and white digital print on platine fibre rag, executed on Canon Pro 6000 using archival Lucia pigment inks, edition 2 of 10.
It depicts Nini Voss, Sarah Jessica Carpark, Costa Lotta, Megana, Aaron Manhattan, Joe Pol and Betty Grumble posing outside a two storey terrace in Newtown known as 'The Dirty Habit', a former nunnery in Newtown, Sydney, New South Wales.
This photograph of 'The Dirty Habit's' last residents was taken during a thunderstorm in November 2021 as a tribute to its legacy.
