John Vicars & Co. merged with Australian Woollen Mills to form Textile Holdings Ltd, 1965. Both entities continued to operate under its original names. Textile Holdings Ltd was responsible for strategic and policy matters. It ceased operations after John Vicars & Co. was taken over, 1976.
