90.1 2NBC FM is a volunteer-run community radio station based in Peakhurst, Sydney. The station started on the 6th of May 1983 and was Sydney’s first full-time suburban community radio station.

Jim Johnston (James Kenneth Johnston) presented the programs ‘Just Jazz with Jim Johnston and ‘Artistry in Jazz’ during his 21-year period (1995-2016) at 2NBC. He had an extensive knowledge of jazz music and his programs started once per week but expanded up to three times a week as his popularity grew.

This collection contains 17 notebooks, dated 1995-2016, containing handwritten playlists from the 2NBC radio programs, 'Just Jazz with Jim Johnston' and 'Artistry in Jazz'. 1 certificate of appreciation from 2NBC presented to James Johnston, 1996. 1 plaque from 2NBC, The Don Jamieson Award for: Achiever of the Year 2015, presented to Jim Johnston.
