Valerie Parv (1952-2021) was a highly successful romance novelist with Harlequin, Mills & Boon, producing more than 70 titles. Her work has been translated into 29 languages with sales exceeding 34 million copies internationally. In 2015, Valerie was made a member of the Order of Australia in 2015 for "significant service to the arts as a prolific author, and as a role model and mentor to young emerging writers". Her husband, Paul Parv (1928-2008) was a crocodile hunter and cartoonist.
