    Jeremy Fisher (he/him) is an author born in Te Aroha, New Zealand. He was awarded the inaugural Gold Medal of the Australian Society of Indexers, 1984; President of the Society of Editors (NSW), 1996; member of the Board of the Australian Publishers' Association, 1998-2000; and Executive Director of the Australian Society of Authors, 2004-2009. He was an early activist in Sydney's gay liberation movement and much of his writing is related to homosexual issues.
