Ruby Winckler (1886-1974) was a Sydney illustrator and painter. She was the daughter of Captain Augustus Robinson Winckler (c.1845-1933) and Jessie Louisa née Green (d1946) and one of the first women who trained at the Julian Ashton School to work as a children’s book illustrator. In the 1900s and 1910s her work also appeared in some of the annual exhibitions of the NSW Society of Artists and the New South Wales Society of Women Painters and was often singled out in reviews.
