  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    The Boys' Farm Home was gifted by Mr. William Henry Paling to the Society for Providing Homes for Neglected Children. The home opened on 1 February 1890 and accommodated 12 boys. Paling donated 100 pounds for the first five years for the maintenance and education of the boys. Ms. Edith Brodie was employed as Matron by the New South Wales Department of Public Instruction, State Children Relief Branch on 1 January 1915.
