    People With Disability Australia was established in 1980 as New South Wales Handicapped Person's Alliance, which was renamed NSW Handicapped Person's Union. In 2003, the body became a national organisation and was renamed People With Disability Australia. It is Australia's peak national advocacy organisation for people with disability or who are d/Deaf.
