The Australian Democrats are an Australian political party formed in 1977 from a merger of the Australia Party and the New Liberal Movement. It was Australia’s largest minor party until 2004. The party was deregistered in 2016 but regained registration in 2019. The party held numerous seats in the Federal senate between 1977 and 2008

This minute book was originally in the possession of Ron George who was the Secretary for the party at the time

The minute book records the meetings of the State Executives of the NSW Division of the Australian Democrats between 7 September 1979 and 5 August 1983 held at 123 Clarence Street, Sydney.
There is also a small amount of loose correspondence and additonal minutes for meetings held in 1984.
