  • Scope and Content
    Manuscript letter dated 6 October 1852 from Thomas Diprose of ‘Tea Warehouses’, London, to the Governor of Van Diemen’s Land, requesting information on the situation of his wife Sarah Diprose, who had been transported to Van Diemen’s Land aboard the ‘Tory’ in 1845.
    On the reverse of the letter, a note signed ‘H. Rodd’ and dated 29/3/53 states that Sarah Diprose was married on 10 March 1850 and that, her husband being free, it is not known where she resides.
