    Gerard Windsor (1944-) is an Australian author and literary critic. He has published twelve books, and his short stories, articles and reviews have appeared in numerous anthologies, literary magazines and newspapers. He was a member of the panel advising on the Patrick White Award, an annual literary established by Patrick White in 1975 to acknowledge writers who have made a significant contribution to Australian literature.

    Purchased by the donor from Louella Kerr (wife of Gerard Windsor) in 2018
  • Scope and Content
    Manuscript letter on single sheet headed '20 Martin Road, Centennial Park, N.S.W. 2021, Australia' and signed 'Patrick (White)', with envelope addressed by White. In the letter, White asks Windsor to stand down from the Patrick White Award panel. In his manuscript draft reply on the reverse of the letter, Windsor agrees to step down.
